The Lamberti winery, whose name derives from one of the oldest houses in Verona to which the famous tower of Piazza delle Erbe in Verona is dedicated, was founded in 1964 in Cavaion (VR) and was originally born as a producer of Bardolino Classico. Today, Lamberti is one of the most important wineries in the Verona area and is known throughout the world. The original site of our winery is located in Cavaion (VR), on Lake Garda, within the Tenuta Preella, whose name means small stones, from "prea", stone in dialect ". The soils of the lake area around the estate are in fact of glacial origin and therefore rich in stones left during the retreat of the glacier. It is from here that the name of the line of our best-selling wines in the world is born: Santepietre, a name that gathers all the characteristics of the territory inside its bouquet of perfumes. It was 1994 when we started the construction of a real cellar on the foundations of the old stable of Tenuta Preella. This modern winery is today the pride of the estate and boasts the best cutting-edge machinery in the field of winemaking, for a total capacity of about 4,000 hectoliters. The heart of the estate is certainly the farmhouse. The first evidence of this ancient residence dates back to the mid-1500s, as revealed by an old print illustrating the area between Cavaion and Calmasino, where the area is indicated with the words Contrà Predelle. Nowadays this historic building has been transformed into the Casa della Lamberti where we have set up a welcoming sales point with a tasting area. At Tenuta Preella the vinification of the grapes of the Lamberti wines takes place, while the bottling phase takes place in the large and modern factory of Pastrengo, a few kilometers away.
