HISTORY
The farm was founded in 2000 when the family discussed whether to sell the beautiful property vineyards that surround the house where I grew up.
The vineyards were acquired in the 1960s by my grandfather Generoso, buying the highest part of the farms located in Contrada Solagna del Titolo at the foot of Monte Vulture. Over the years, my grandfather and my great-grandfather took care of treating the vineyards by simply selling the grapes and producing them for self-consumption. "Six hectares are not held as a joke" was our first impression, we were now determined to sell because my parents are both teachers and both me and my brothers saw our future away from Barile to continue their university studies. Interested buyers who knocked on our door did not lack, but just at the last minute it took my heart a blow. I could not bear that someone would take the vineyards from under my gaze (our house is in the middle of the vineyards) and that another name could do something great with the older vulture vineyards (most of them have between 55 and 60 years, a part even around 70 years). So I decided to change the programs of my whole life and that of my family; we decided to invest in the territory and on the resource that had allowed my father and even before my grandparents and great-grandparents to live and grow in Vulture.
THE CELLAR
The current winery was obtained from the old premises under the family home (Torre Titolo) where Grandfather Generoso used to stock farm vehicles and equipment. A first enlargement was performed by digging directly into the volcanic rock to house the barrique cellar. The winery is equipped with all the necessary equipment from harvest to bottling and labeling, making use of every available space (even Papa's garage, where he can no longer park his car) in order to guarantee the best possible attention to our TITLE.
Recently the new winery was completed, built in compliance with the historical company body and connected by a tunnel dug into the volcanic rock. The new structure is built according to the principles of bio-architecture using recycled and recycled materials and technologies to reduce impacts and energy consumption to zero.
