Galardi Terra di Rosso is a wine with a intense and lively ruby red color , with soft and subtle tannins and fruity taste . A wine to drink young to fully enjoy the organoleptic characteristics that represent it.
1994 - ten years after the date of Orwellian memory, the Working Land is born. Big Brother had not taken the upper hand or, perhaps, all of us could not perceive it and therefore in total freedom and with the participation of different professional figures we brought to the fore an outsider wine. To get this red wine a little out of the box we started working in 1991, another fateful date on which some meteorologists wanted to assign a sort of point of no return for climate change (but don't take it too seriously).
To return to the scheme of the brother, from 1994 to the present, it has often been thought, here at Galardi, to give a brother to Terra di Lavoro but first committed to the realization of the production program, then, like many other companies, to containing the effects of the crisis, time passed and it never seemed time to transform thought into concrete actions.
Then, in spite of climate change, the year 2017 arrives and since the first evolutionary stages of the maturation of the grapes, the signs of a great vintage and mainly an excellent performance of the Piedirosso are evident.
It's the right opportunity to do what needs to be done. Under these conditions Aglianico and Piedirosso distance themselves in the maturation process and beyond. The delicate and capricious Piedirosso finds its happy combination to arrive at the harvest early and well.
It is the occasion to select a part of Piedirosso that exceeds that needed for the mix of the Terra di Lavoro and follow its evolution with care and attention equal to our usual product. We are sure: the winemaking proceeds smoothly, the fast wood passage even eight months, we can finish by August 2018 and introduce ourselves to the public. We had forgotten our friend / winemaker Riccardo Cotarella for a moment. Taken from the enthusiasm and the fact that the wine had worked quite a bit on its own without any problems we had forgotten all the exams, chemical-physical analyzes, tastings, various tests that were to prelude to a definitive go-ahead for this new gem.
February 2019 is done. The wine is ready. Already! the wine is ready but what wine? The Piedirosso, of course! Certain Campania Piedirosso; but without a name, without a label, without ever having tasted it in its finished wine version.

HISTORY AND COMPANY
From a common passion for the countryside and agricultural activities, Dora and Maria Luisa with Arturo, Roberto and Francesco started in 1991 the production of a wine of great quality with the dream of renewing the ancient tradition of the noble vineyards of Campania. Today Roberto is no longer with us, but even in homage to his person, Galardi's commitment to the search for wine expression at the highest quality levels was perpetrated. The potential of the volcanic soil sloping towards the sea and the encounter with Riccardo Cotarella, a highly valued oenologist particularly sensitive to the recovery and enhancement of the wines of the South, led to the birth, in 1994, of a product that aroused in everyone an incredible emotion .
