Basilisco was born at the beginning of the nineties aiming immediately at the highest quality, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, and in a few years became a jewel of the southern wine scene. At the beginning of 2011, the Feudi di San Gregorio company, present in Vulture for over ten years years, he decides to start a recovery project of the ancient lava caves in the "Shesh", the historic Park of the Cantine di Barile, relaunching with conviction the bet made on this area of exceptional viticultural value that culminates with the acquisition of nearby Basilisco. With its splendid cellars in the tuff and his vineyards in the most suitable districts of the area, Basilisco completes this project. Thus a space of enchanting beauty is born in the historic heart of Aglianico del Vulture. The face and soul of Basilisco is Viviana Malafarina, who runs the company and personally takes care of the cellar operations with great passion, under the expert guidance of Pierpaolo Sirch, who is also responsible for managing the vineyards.
