Velier is one of the largest and most relevant companies in the Italian distribution and import business. It was founded in 1947 in Genoa and was initially specialized in the importation of distillates. The business then expanded to include wines and subsequently began the selection of barrels of whiskies and rums marketed under its own brand. Luca Gargano, owner of Velier together with his brother Paolo, is responsible for the creation of the "Triple A" world protocol, which establishes precise rules for the production of natural wines, distancing itself from technological productions.
