Pinot Noir by Andrian is a red DOC wine produced in Trentino Alto Adige. Since 1893 in Andriano wines are born that express the character of a tradition that is constantly evolving. The Andriano Co-Operative of Wine Makers is the oldest in South Tyrol. It was founded in 1893.
Stability requires flexibility. That’s why we in Andriano don’t simply allow things to drift in the stream of time. Instead, we recognize the changes that time brings and seek to develop along with them. In 1893, the vintners of Andriano took a decisive step and combined their skills and energies to form the first co-operative of winemakers in South Tyrol. With dedication and a keen sense of taste, they strove to constantly achieve and maintain a level of quality that can stand the test of time – and they have been striving since 2008 under the aegis of the Terlano Wine Cellars.
Wine is at once a process of becoming and a state of being. In Andriano, both have a dynamic quality characte¬rized by constant motion. They reflect our constant quest for new ways to convey time-honored traditions into the present and to preserve them for the future. The secret of making a special wine consists of more than just diligent work in the VINEYARDS and in the WINE CELLAR. Devotion, careful attention, and a passionate love of the soil, the vine, and the grape are needed. A passion expressed in every vintage of Andriano.
Here in Andriano, the broad Adige Valley opens its arms to the south. Under the protection of the mighty Mendel and the area’s trademark mountain, the Gantkofel, the gently rolling hills are like an undulating sea of grapevines. The scent of apple blossoms fills the air, and the Adige River winds south through the valley like a blue ribbon.
