"With almost 140 years of history behind it, Bodega Williams & Humbert, founded in 1877 by Sir Alexander Williams, a great expert and enthusiast of Jerez products, and Arthur Humbert, a specialist in international relations, is recognized as one of the most prestigious wineries of Jerez and is renowned worldwide for the production of Sherry. Sherry is a wine with a laborious and sophisticated production; fallen into oblivion for years, it has never actually lost its value as a wine of excellence, so much so that lately the spotlight on this truly unique product is being rekindled. The plants of Bodegas Williamas & Humbert, considered the largest in Europe, consist of a complex of buildings connected to each other that occupy an area of approximately 180,000 square meters. Bodegas products combine tradition and savoir-faire acquired over the centuries and expressed by the quality of its prestigious labels. The cellar still preserves wines and brandies that date back to the time of its foundation and was awarded the National Architecture Award. The company-owned vineyards are located in the triangle formed by Jerez de la Frontera, Puerto of Santa Maria and Sanlucar of Barrameda, an area that enjoys a particular and favorable microclimate due to the presence of the Guadalquivir and Guadalete rivers. In the global scenario, Williams & Humbert is developing an ambitious diversification program for the high quality food industry. Among the most innovative projects, there are the Rum Dos Maderas which are made and partially aged in the Caribbean, to then be transferred to Jerez where they finish maturing. Respecting the most important values of tradition, the strategic plan of Williams & Humbert develops with great creative vitality and a strong spirit of modernization; the great tenacity and the innovative drive, always linked, however, to the values of tradition, represent its spirit.
