The passion between our family and wine broke out in the first decades of the last century. In fact, our grandparents were the first to understand the potential that a land like ours could express, founding one of the first companies for the bulk wine trade. Towards the end of the 60s of the last century, our father Giovanni Soloperto took the next step and, even before the Doc Doc law, he bottled the Primitivo in purity in the first, small cellar.
Over time, the winery grew to its current size and today we produce around one million bottles a year in our company. Primitivo is always our main resource, flanked by wines of the Apulian tradition such as Negroamaro and some white grapes from the Murgese hills that make up the Doc Locorotondo and Martina Franca. Our work, in fact, is concentrated on the promotion of the indigenous varieties of Puglia, an ampelographic heritage rich in variety and history. At the same time, we are very attentive to consumer needs by offering them both simple and ready-to-drink wines as well as more complex and structured wines, also suitable for aging. Each bottle of Cantine Soloperto is always a high quality product, which brings the soul of a terroir unique in the world: Puglia.
