Martin Foradori Hofstätter has always had a weakness for Riesling, a variety that has accompanied the most important moments of his childhood. A vine that at that time was present, in very small part, in the family vineyards but which at the same time was not up to its German, Alsatian and Austrian cousins. This is why Martin decided to abandon it and concentrate on what had a long tradition in his estate. The possibility of confronting Riesling came many years later, in 2014, when a friend offered to join him in the company of one of the most historic estates in the Moselle, the birthplace of Riesling in Germany. This is how the Hofstätter adventure in Weingut Dr. Fischer - Bocksteinhof, an estate located in the village of Ockfen, along the Saar river, at the foot of the famous "Bockstein", one of the best vineyards in Germany, was born. It is here that unbelievably fascinating wines are born, always characterized by great acidity, a fundamental characteristic for defining its longevity.
