History

Thanks to our tireless and constant work of selection, protection and development in the territory of our Corbara or Corbarino Pomodorino, which goes from the choice of seeds to the planting of the seedlings at our trusted nursery or directly from the farmers in their seedbed for conclude with the transplantation of the seedlings thus obtained in the farmers' land.

The Corbarino Tomato is cultivated in the open without being artificially irrigated, it only takes rainwater (when there is), and where the harvest takes place in just two months a year. It is a very resistant plant that grows on volcanic soil (lapilli or lava stone) and therefore rich in mineral salts that are precious for food.

The cultivation area is immersed in a particularly favorable microclimate due to the excellent sun exposure and the presence of the iodine-rich sea breeze between Corbara and the Lattari Mountains behind Amalfi and the Amalfi Coast.
