The family of the founder of the Montalbera winery, Enrico Riccardo Morando, has been a protagonist for six generations in the Piedmontese wine world, with lands extending over 175 hectares between Monferrato and Langa. A story that can be summarized in the great respect and appreciation of the territory that distinguishes the work carried out in these decades. An indissoluble bond between environment, grape variety, climate and human intervention, where ruché, a vine with extremely particular and recognizable aromas, has found its maximum expression in this company. Among the most famous and beloved wines that bear the signature of Enrico Riccardo Morando is the Ruché of Castagnole Monferrato DOCG "L'Accento", a wine that among the various awards received in all these years, can also boast 99/100 in guide Luca Maroni. An ideal wine, almost didactic, to understand how the Ruché can express itself to the full, from the typical notes of dried violet, red fruits and spices, excellent throughout the meal. A vine in which this company has always believed, so much so as to have decided to invest in scientific research to trace a real genetic license of the variety, comparing it with that of other grapes. The result is incredible and revolutionary, because it was discovered that the most similar to the ruché grape is the noble Enfant Terrible, the pinot noir. An important signal, which gives us the scope of what the ruché, always considered a minor grape among those of Piedmont, has all the papers in order to give wines of character and power. Rigor, planning, imagination and poetry. These are the guidelines that led Enrico Riccardo Morando to seek a continuous and passionate appreciation of the great wines of Monferrato and Langa, in addition to Ruché, also for Barbera and Moscato d’Asti. Unique wines, which represent the most traditionalist soul of Piedmont.
