HISTORY
In the heart of Franciacorta, in Camignone, is the centuries-old residence with sixteenth-century cellars and annexed lands, which testifies to the long winemaking tradition that the Barboglio family inherited in 1836. This vocation was developed thanks to the intuitions of Emanuela Barboglio with the installation of the first specialized vineyards and in 1968 with the adoption of the newly born Franciacorta DOC. From 1976 the name "Azienda Agricola Barzanò Barboglio" was abandoned for the current "il Mosnel", a toponym dialect of Celtic origin which means stony ground, heap of stones; on which the Company stands At the head of Il Mosnel is the fifth generation of winemakers, the sons of Emanuela Barboglio: Giulio Barzanò who follows the technical, productive and commercial side; while Lucia Barzanò is in charge of marketing, external relations and administration. The family avails itself of the collaboration of a highly trained staff and highly experienced agronomist and oenological consultants who constantly monitor production and its evolution.
