Galardi di Terra di Lavoro is a wine of great structure and prestige , made from the skilful blend of Aglianico and Piedirosso . It has a intense ruby red color and the nose opens with elegant aromas of blueberry and blackberry , enriched with spicy notes of pepper and licorice. On the palate it is warm, enveloping and velvety , of excellent persistence.
Twenty years have passed since Maria Luisa Murena, Arturo Celentano, Roberto Selvaggi, Francesco Catello and Dora Catello climbed towards Ponte, arriving in San Carlo and discovered the pristine beauty of the Sessa Aurunca countryside on the slopes of Roccamonfina. Together, with the perfect assistance of the oenologist Riccardo Cotarella, they had the merit of having given voice to the then unexplored potential of Aglianico and Pedirosso which, if implanted following the criteria of a serious, reasoned viticulture and modern, on soils of volcanic origin are able to give wines of great quality and exceptional character. The vineyards extend over a volcanic terrain of great potential , which slopes down slowly towards the sea. Both the vineyards and the olive groves owned by the winery are set in a splendid and suggestive frame of chestnut woods that alternate on the slopes of the Roccamonfina volcano, offering an extraordinary overview of the property. All these elements, combined with the winery's passion for promoting their work, have led to the creation of an incredible wine in terms of intensity and persistence. The Terra di Lavoro is able to unleash all the best features of Aglianico , which in the volcanic territory manages to give rise to nuances of exceptional and unique aromas and fragrances. A wine that brought the winery into the elite of Italian red wine.

HISTORY AND COMPANY
From a common passion for the countryside and agricultural activities, Dora and Maria Luisa with Arturo, Roberto and Francesco started in 1991 the production of a wine of great quality with the dream of renewing the ancient tradition of the noble vineyards of Campania. Today Roberto is no longer with us, but even in homage to his person, Galardi's commitment to the search for wine expression at the highest quality levels was perpetrated. The potential of the volcanic soil sloping towards the sea and the encounter with Riccardo Cotarella, a highly valued oenologist particularly sensitive to the recovery and enhancement of the wines of the South, led to the birth, in 1994, of a product that aroused in everyone an incredible emotion . The land of work. the year 2017 arrives and since the first evolutionary stages of the maturation of the grapes, the signs of a great vintage and mainly an excellent performance of the Piedirosso are evident. Thus the Land of Red is born.
