HISTORY AND COMPANY

Twenty years have passed since Maria Luisa Murena, Arturo Celentano, Roberto Selvaggi, Francesco Catello and Dora Catello climbed towards Ponte, arriving at San Carlo and discovered the pristine beauty of the Sessa Aurunca countryside on the slopes of Roccamonfina. Together, with the perfect assistance of the oenologist Riccardo Cotarella, they had the merit of having given voice to the then unexplored potentialities of Aglianico and Pedirosso that, if implanted following the criteria of a serious, reasoned and modern viticulture, on land of origin volcanic are able to give wines of great quality and exceptional character. The vineyards extend over a volcanic terrain of great potential, which slopes slowly towards the sea. Both the vineyards and the olive groves owned by the winery are set in a splendid and suggestive frame of chestnut woods that alternate on the slopes of the Roccamonfina volcano, offering an extraordinary overview of the property. All these elements, combined with the winery's passion for promoting their work, have led to the creation of an incredible wine in terms of intensity and persistence. The Terre di Lavoro is able to release all the best features of Aglianico, which in the volcanic area manages to give rise to nuances of exceptional and unique aromas and fragrances. A wine that brought the winery into the elite of Italian red wine.
