- After extensive selections to choose the best grappa game, there is aging for eighteen months in old oak barrels, a wood that releases, even if reused, the characteristic amber color. With this kind of wooden tinctures, the natural action of oxygen through the slats is privileged, with the extraction of aromas. This transforms a fresh distillate rich in aromatic tips into a round, elegant bowl. It always follows an accurate refinement in stainless steel tanks of at least six months allowing the grappa to "settle" after such an important passage

HISTORY
The Domenis 1898 distillery stands out in the all-Italian horizon of grappa producers for its century-old experience and for its centuries-old attention in developing ever more varied and valuable flavors. Located in Cividale del Friuli, in the picturesque landscape of Friuli Colli Orientali, the fertile land from which the Domenis grappa is born is the same one in which already 2000 years ago there existed a culture and a culture of high quality native vines. The presence of the Julian Prealps and the nearby Adriatic Sea guarantees the bright DOC clusters a mild climate in which to grow. The four-generation knowledge of the Domenis family is constantly being improved, resulting in the "in-house" realization of improvements for its discontinuous copper plant, dictating the same canons determining grappa within the European Council and creating unique products, historical and biological. An ancient awareness for the pleasures of life from which grappas are born to be savored slowly.
