Description
This ancient variety of grapes dates back to the Greeks, who imported the "vitis Apicia" variety from Campano net territory and it seems that the first vines were planted in Lapio. Apicia's name would be derived from the typical scent and sweetness of the fruit that attracts bee-swarms in the vineyards, subsequently changed with Apinia then Afiana to arrive after the definitive Fiano. The Fiano di Avellino by Guido Marsella is going to last in time thanks to one year's stand on the yeast. The nose is felt with hints of ash and incense, melon, peach, grass, on a mineral background. The palate is fresh, deep and enveloping.
