It was 1967 when Giovanni Carlo Sacchet and Antonio Mario Zaccheo founded the Carpineto with the aim of producing an internationally renowned Chianti Classico. A revolution for those times. The two partners saw in Tuscany an enormous potential, where they could produce great wines by applying the most advanced techniques and increase the quality standards of the time. And they succeeded. Under their direction, Carpineto has grown to become a brand with international success that currently exports its products to 70 countries around the world. His wines of great intensity and extract, reliable and above all of constant quality over time, have had success with audiences and critics, as evidenced by numerous awards and recognitions: above all the reds, thanks to a long aging that often exceeds 6-12 months the limit required by the disciplinary rules. Innovators by tradition, Sacchet and Zaccheo, together with their families, continue to experiment, always respecting the great historic values of Tuscany: the Carpineto product line includes wines from the most prestigious DOCG wines to varietal wines of great structure.
Carpineto's work is constantly influenced by the deep roots of its own tradition and its historical name. The vineyards cultivated according to sustainability criteria and the cellars managed with the utmost respect for the natural phenomena of grape transformation, give life to wines that have a close link with the territory and that reflect the peculiarities of each vineyard and its name. Wines that express the aromas and characteristics of the territory in which they are born, and are kept alive and fragrant for many years. Carpineto products are the result of the use of advanced techniques, based on the science of viticulture and enology, and a consolidated "culture of the territory". About 95% of the entire production is made up of red wines, and most of this is made up of wines that have aged three years or more before their release. Today Carpineto sells about 3 million bottles.
