The passion for wine and love for their land, led Maria Grazia Foglia and Alberto Barletta, together with their partners, namely the Quaranta family, to resume in the Conca della Campania estates - after having contributed, with the company Agricola Vestini Campagnano di Caiazzo, to the rediscovery of the native Caserta varieties Pallagrello and Casavecchia - the cultivation of grapes that had an ancient link with the territory, with which to return to produce wines that already in the 800 were known and much appreciated, even if products in limited quantities; we refer to the many times referred to as "red conca", which is now joined by a white man of rank. Thus was born the adventure of the "Poderi Foglia" that, on a vineyard extension of about four hectares, part of a much larger company and made very fascinating by the insistence of the remains of a Roman cistern, make the Concarosso and the Concabianco, pursuing the highest expression of a territory undoubtedly suited to oenology for millennia. In the province of Caserta, the ancient Terra di Lavoro, near the volcano of Roccamonfina, in the DOC Galluccio area, the "Poderi Foglia" company enjoys a very happy position for the production of wine. The vineyards are located in a gentle hilly area, totally exposed to the south, and very well ventilated at a height of about 200 meters, within an area that has provided great wines for millennia. The soil, of volcanic origin, represents a geological excellence for the cultivation of the vine; the numerous mineral salts, in particular potassic salts contained therein, in fact play a beneficial effect on the vines, which is reflected in the quality of the wines in production: aromatic, intense, rich in aromas and flavors. The DOC, although young, is in historical and geographical continuity with the production of Falerno.
