HISTORY AND COMPANY
EVERYTHING STARTS FROM HERE, IN THE HEART OF THE BRANDS
A perfect combination of the extraordinary fertility of the soil and ideal atmospheric conditions characterized by a Mediterranean-type climate, gives rise to great wines that recall a territory rich in traditions and history. The constant commitment of Simone Capecci is aimed at keeping intact the peculiarities, the perfumes, the colors and the flavors inherited from their own land, in which Simone continues today a continuous valorization of the wines of the Picena tradition, with a constant attention to the biological cultivation, to research and innovation, in order to improve and enhance traditional and autochthonous vines such as Pecorino, Passerina, Sangiovese and Montepulciano. The earth has a high content of limestone and alkaline ph and the soils that support the vines are always deeper than 80/100 cm, which allows the roots to have a considerable explorable soil volume and an elevated AWC (available water capacity) , always higher than 150 mm, so as to ensure a certain soil moisture content even in periods of summer drought. A subsoil poor in water, but which retains humidity, an absolute peculiarity of this territory, allows the company not to use irrigation systems, in full respect of the authenticity of the final product.
