History
The Cotroneo family has always been involved in various professional and entrepreneurial fields; from banking to industrial and building, from medical and pharmaceutical to thermalism.
In the early twentieth century, the agricultural company was born from the passion of grandparents Giovanni and Teresa. Combining their strengths and acquiring new land in the Ciurica, Rivolta and Roseto districts, they create one of the largest and most productive farms in the province of Benevento. At their death, over 120 hectares were distributed among the eight children. In 1991 two brothers, Mario and Bruno, decided to combine their land in a common management; "Ciurica s.n.c." is thus born. Since 1997, the passion of Paolo, third generation exponent, has taken a turn based on the quality of the vineyard and projected towards the goal of transforming the grapes into wine for the first time, with the aim of entering the fascinating world of marketing. The "Fattoria La Rivolta" brand is born. From that year it is a building site in full effervescence, with the sisters Giovanna and Gabriella and the cousin Giancarlo restructures the vineyard and the cellar. Conversion and certification for organic production is obtained.
In January 2001 the first bottle signed by the Cotroneo family is in the wine shops. In 2004, the wines of Fattoria La Rivolta were introduced abroad. Today our wine is present in several American states, in Canada, Ireland, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, China, Japan, Czech Republic, Sweden, Russia, Thailàndia, Malaysia, Australia, Poland, Denmark and the Netherlands.
The cellar
The winery, equipped with the most modern equipment, is divided into two structures, a purely technical for the vinification and the atra, located inside the ancient farm, where the aging and bottling of wines takes place.
